One of the best travel hacks for nearly every traveler is to have a great set of noise cancelling headphones in your carryon bag. Traveling with the right set makes a tremendous difference on any trip. And I just discovered the best wireless noise cancelling headphones I’ve ever tried!

I like small ones so they don’t take up too much space in my bag. Too many are impractical for most travelers to carry…

Some airlines let you borrow noise cancelling headphones in First or Business Class. But it’s always better to have your own!

For years, I swore by Bose QC20’s. They were tiny, but had a wire to connect them to your device. Unfortunately, wired headphones are a thing of the past and the company stopped manufacturing them.

Bose QC20’s were the best! But, it turns out technology gets better

The other day, my final set of QC20’s finally died on a flight from Fort Myers to Charlotte. When I landed at CLT, I  popped into an electronics store and picked up a set of Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds II.

They’re great! In the interest of full disclosure, Amazon has them at a much lower price than I paid in an airport…

These wireless Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones are way better than the old ones!

The only downside is the risk of losing one of the two earbuds. The nice part about wired headphones is that it’s tough to lose them when you’re tangled up in the wire!

But that’s not the best part. The fact is the Earbuds II actually work BETTER than the old QC20’s!

Also, you may want to grab one of these AirFly bluetooth transmitters to use the headphones with an airline’s inflight entertainment!
